Short story
The first Nameless Tower, otherwise referred to as the Powder Tower, is a simple architectural structure that has become part of the Moscow Kremlin. You can find it in the southern part of its wall, but to the east in relation to the Tainitskaya tower.

The height of the First Nameless Tower reaches 34 meters, or rather 34.15 m.It is recognized by its simple pyramidal tent-tetrahedron... The inner part of the tower is represented by two vaulted rooms, arranged in the form of tiers (the lower one with a cross vault, and the upper one with a closed one).
There is no overlap between the upper quadrangle and the tent cavity, that is, one of the parts of the First Nameless Tower of the Kremlin passes into its top - the tent itself.
The completion of the construction of the First Nameless Tower dates back to 1480... And she was named Porokhova due to the fact that she was used as a powder store. This is the reason for the fact of its frequent destruction.
A series of historical events through which the First Nameless Tower passed
In 1547, Moscow was shocked by an explosion in the tower's powder store. A violent fire was the result of an explosion, and the structure collapsed. In the 17th century, it was rebuilt, but a second tent-roofed tier was added to the main quadrangle. However, in 1770 it was decided to demolish it, since the construction of the Great Bazhenov Kremlin Palace was planned in the Kremlin. And as soon as he decorated the capital city of the Russian state, the First Nameless Tower was erected in a new place, already closer to Taynitskaya. It happened in 1783.
29 years later (in 1812), the French retreating from Moscow, at Napoleon's orders, blew up the tower. 4 years later, work on its restoration began again, led by the architect Bove... It took the master 19 years to make the structure recreated by him later one of the sights of the Moscow Kremlin. Connoisseurs of art saw the image of the Powder Tower in the painting entitled "Napoleon from the Kremlin looks at the fire of Moscow", the creator of which was VV Vereshchagin.
